Wassererlebnis Mini-Donau is a creative educational leisure and nature park located in Engelhartszell an der Donau in the Schärding district of Upper Austria, welcoming around 7,000 visitors each year. The park takes visitors on a fascinating circular tour exploring the Danube River in miniature form, featuring six themed interactive stations that trace the river from its source to the Black Sea, including a reservoir, a Kneipp foot basin, a run-of-river power station, a river construction station, a balancing course, and a cable ferry installation. A highlight of the experience is a large aquarium housing impressive Danube fish including sturgeon up to two metres in length. The adjacent Engelszell Sensory Garden and the playful "The Aliens Are Coming" exhibition add further family-friendly discovery. Designed around principles of sustainable environmental education, Mini-Donau is a unique and enriching outing for families in the Austrian Mühlviertel region.
