Tierra Rapaz

Tierra Rapaz is a nature-themed conservation park and international benchmark for birds-of-prey experiences, located near Calahorra in La Rioja, northern Spain. Founded by a pair of biologists, the park serves as both a rescue and rehabilitation center for birds deemed unable to return to the wild and an immersive educational destination for visitors of all ages. The park is home to more than 50 species of diurnal and nocturnal raptors including eagles, hawks, vultures, kites, caracaras, and over 15 species of owls, showcased in two daily free-flight exhibitions. A highlight is the intimate owl grotto show, where nocturnal birds glide overhead in an atmospheric enclosed space. Beyond raptors, Tierra Rapaz also features an Oceania section with wallabies and turtles, and an African savannah area home to zebras, antelopes, meerkats, porcupines, and ostriches, making it a diverse and memorable wildlife experience.
