The Garden of Eden, known locally as Le Jardin d'Eden or Edenparc, is a historic hillside garden in Tournon-sur-Rhône, Ardèche, overlooking the Rhône river. Occupying the grounds of the former Cordeliers monastery and Notre-Dame convent, the garden spans 10,000 square metres and is enclosed by 900 metres of Renaissance-era ramparts, including an original Renaissance tower. Visitors are invited to stroll through beautifully planted woodland areas, past ornamental ponds, fountains, and statues, as the pathways wind uphill to offer magnificent panoramic views over the town of Tournon-sur-Rhône and the sweeping Rhône valley.
