Renaissance Pleasure Faire

The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire is Southern California's beloved outdoor seasonal faire, held at Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area near Irwindale and Pasadena. Running on Saturdays and Sundays from early April through mid-May, the event transports visitors to a vibrant recreation of 16th-century England with costumed performers, artisans, and entertainers spread across elaborately decorated grounds. Highlights include thrilling jousting tournaments, live theatrical performances, interactive archery and spear-throwing activities, bird shows, and magic performances. A sprawling marketplace showcases hundreds of artisans offering handcrafted jewelry, leatherwork, and period costumes, while glass-blowing demonstrations add to the artisanal atmosphere. Multiple food vendors provide a variety of dining options throughout the day. Family programming is especially rich for children ages five through ten, and visitors of all ages are encouraged to come in costume to enhance the immersive Renaissance experience.
