PreHistorisch Dorp, now part of Museumpark VONK, is an award-winning open-air museum set within Eindhoven's Genneper Parken. The museum brings six distinct eras of Dutch history to life through meticulously reconstructed buildings and immersive living history experiences spanning from the age of hunters and gatherers through to the Roman period, the Viking era, and the time of the Eighty Years' War. Costumed time guides inhabit the reconstructed village, giving tours, telling stories, and demonstrating historical crafts such as fire-making, archery, iron working, pottery, weaving, and spear throwing, all of which visitors can actively participate in. Open from April through October, the park offers an educational yet thoroughly engaging family outing in a natural park setting on the outskirts of Eindhoven.
