Parque Cretácico de Cal Orck'o

Parque Cretácico de Cal Orck'o is one of Bolivia's most extraordinary outdoor attractions, located just 5 km from the historic city of Sucre in Chuquisaca. The park is home to Cal Orck'o, a massive limestone cliff containing the world's largest concentration of dinosaur footprints — more than 5,000 individual tracks from at least eight different species dating back approximately 68 million years to the Late Cretaceous period. A geological uplift transformed what was once flat prehistoric ground into a dramatic near-vertical wall of fossilized history, including a record-breaking 581-metre-long trackway. Established in 2006, the Parque Cretácico features a museum, life-size dinosaur replicas, guided tours to the footprint wall, informative documentaries, and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. A free shuttle bus departs regularly from Sucre's Plaza 25 de Mayo, making this scientific and natural wonder easily accessible to visitors of all ages.
