Moominvalley Park is Japan's first and only Moomin character theme park, opened in 2019 on the shores of Lake Miyazawa in Hanno, Saitama Prefecture, approximately 40 kilometers northwest of Tokyo. The park is inspired by the beloved Finnish Moomin stories created by Tove Jansson, and brings characters and settings to life through a range of immersive attractions. Guests can explore the iconic Moominhouse from the inside, visit Kokemus, a three-story museum tracing the history of the Moomin characters and their creator, and watch live character shows at three theater venues including the open-air Emma's Theatre. A thrilling 400-meter zipline stretches across the lake surface, and an outdoor playground sits atop Lonely Mountain. Exclusive seasonal merchandise is available at on-site shops, making Moominvalley Park a magical destination for fans of all ages.
