
Modellbahnpark Auenhain is a unique outdoor model railway park located at the scenic edge of Leipzig near the Markkleeberger See in Saxony. Covering approximately 10,000 square metres, the park enchants railway enthusiasts and families alike with its 1,600-metre network of garden railway tracks in gauges of 7¼ and 5 inches, where visitors of all ages can ride lovingly detailed 1:8 scale model locomotives, including real steam trains on weekends and public holidays. The park is open seasonally from late March through early November on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, and is part of the broader Saxon Steam Railway Route.
