Minimundus is one of Austria's most beloved family attractions, set on 26,000 square metres along the shores of the Wörthersee in Klagenfurt, Carinthia. Since opening in 1958, the miniature park has enchanted more than 15 million visitors with over 150 scale models of the world's most iconic buildings, each crafted at a ratio of 1:25. Highlights include replicas of St. Peter's Basilica, the Taj Mahal, Sydney Opera House, and St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. Many models are animated — trains pass through miniature landscapes, ships glide across water basins, and mechanical installations move realistically. Beyond the outdoor models, the park also features an indoor adventure world and a 4D cinema. Proceeds from Minimundus support the children's charity Rettet das Kind, adding a meaningful purpose to every visit.
