Manoir de Veygoux

Manoir de Veygoux is a historic 17th-century manor set within a flowering two-hectare park in Charbonnières-les-Varennes, Puy-de-Dôme, at the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park, just 25 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand. Built around 1623 in the Louis XIII architectural style, the estate was historically the domain of the Desaix family and became communal property in 1997. The manor served for many years as a cultural and museum site devoted to the French Revolution, featuring interactive exhibits, costumed guides, and multimedia presentations transporting visitors to 18th-century Auvergne. The surrounding park, with its ornamental gardens and scenic Auvergne countryside backdrop, provides a picturesque setting for outdoor events, photography, and leisurely walks. The estate's four function rooms accommodate groups of 15 to 120 guests, making Manoir de Veygoux an atmospheric venue for events, seminars, and heritage tourism in the volcanic heart of France.
