La Bassa

La Bassa is a beloved open-air aquatic recreational park operated by Sabadell Piscines, located in the Sant Oleguer sector of Sabadell, just north of Barcelona in Catalonia. The centerpiece of the facility is one of the largest swimming pools in Europe, a spectacular circular basin of 100-meter diameter holding over seven million liters of water and featuring a 95-meter bridge leading to a 23-meter island at its center. The pool reaches a maximum depth of 180 centimeters and covers approximately 6,800 square meters of water surface. Complementary amenities include trampolines, children's play areas, landscaped green zones, picnic areas, locker rooms, and equipment rental. Staffed by lifeguards and a nurse, La Bassa operates from early June to late August and attracts around 100,000 visitors each season, making it a treasured summer destination for families and swimmers in the greater Barcelona area.
