Kings Dominion

Kings Dominion is a major theme and water park located in Doswell, Hanover County, Virginia, approximately 20 miles north of Richmond and 75 miles south of Washington DC. Spanning 280 acres, the park is home to more than 60 rides, shows, and attractions, including 13 roller coasters — the most in Virginia. Standout coasters include the hybrid steel-and-wood Twisted Timbers and the towering Intimidator 305, one of the tallest and fastest on the East Coast. Included with admission is the 20-acre Soak City water park, featuring a massive wave pool, the multi-slide Tidal Surge complex with Virginia's tallest water slide tower, a lazy river, and cabana rentals. Planet Snoopy, a 14-acre children's area with kid-sized rides and live entertainment with the PEANUTS characters, rounds out the family-friendly experience.
