Gondava — The Great Valley of the Dinosaurs is a one-of-a-kind paleontological theme park spread across 34 hectares in the municipality of Sáchica, Boyacá, Colombia, near the colonial town of Villa de Leyva. Opened in 2009, Gondava is the first park of its kind in Colombia, featuring life-sized replicas of extinct prehistoric animals including a 14-metre brachiosaurus, constructed from concrete, metal, and flexible materials that allow some figures to move. The surrounding region is geologically rich in Cretaceous fossils — including kronosaurus, trilobites, and ichthyosaurs — lending authentic scientific context to the visitor experience.
