Galileo-Wissenswelt Fehmarn

Galileo-Wissenswelt Fehmarn is the largest interactive science museum in northern Germany, located on the Baltic island of Fehmarn in Schleswig-Holstein. Spanning 6,000 square metres, the museum is divided into four engaging sections: TechnikWelt, featuring 200 hands-on physics and technology experiments covering optics, magnetism, electricity, acoustics, and thermodynamics, plus an earthquake simulator and hot-air balloon installation; BioWelt, tracing evolution from the Big Bang through dinosaurs and mammoths to modern humans, and housing the largest Mosasaurus skull on display in any German museum; Übersee, presenting a world journey through art and cultural highlights; and the Dunkelexperiment, an immersive sensory experience exploring the world without sight. An extensive historical collection and draisine ride add further depth. The museum is fully wheelchair accessible and operates daily from April through September, with weekend openings during the off-season, making it an ideal year-round attraction on the island of Fehmarn.
