Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters is an immersive marine attraction located in Marathon, Florida, in the heart of the Florida Keys. Drawing on more than 30 years of expertise with tropical fish species native to the Keys and Caribbean Sea, the facility invites visitors to go far beyond passive observation. Guests can explore over 50 species of marine life across diverse ecosystems, including a mangrove-lined basin teeming with tarpon, a tidal pool tank housing queen conch and horseshoe crabs, and a magnificent 200,000-gallon coral reef tank inhabited by moray eels, grouper, and multiple shark species. Interactive touch tanks allow hands-on encounters with rays, starfish, urchins, and hermit crabs, while adventurous visitors can snorkel through the coral reef exhibit or dive alongside top ocean predators.
