Éphémère Garden

Éphémère Garden is a beloved annual garden installation in Boulogne-sur-Mer on the Opal Coast of northern France, staged each summer in front of the historic town hall. Running for over 19 years as a local tradition, the garden opens each last Saturday of June to mark the beginning of summer festivities. Each edition is themed around a fresh concept — past editions have explored the four classical elements, vivid colour palettes, and playful wordplay around poetry and nature — blending horticultural artistry with poetic and cultural imagination. The installation invites visitors of all ages on a journey through sculpted planting, artistic arrangements, and immersive sensory environments that celebrate the connection between nature and creativity.
