Doka Estate Costa Rica Coffee Tour and Plantation is a historic working coffee farm on the slopes of Poas Volcano in Alajuela, Costa Rica, with roots stretching back to 1908. Owned and operated by the Vargas Ruiz family for over seven decades, the estate houses Costa Rica's oldest wet mill, declared an Architectural Heritage for Humanity site in 2003. Guided tours take visitors from the seedbed through the full cultivation, harvesting, processing, and roasting process, explaining the history of Costa Rican coffee culture and the unique microclimate generated by the proximity to Poas Volcano. Several tour packages are available, including combination trips to Poas Volcano and La Paz Waterfall, making Doka Estate an enriching and scenic destination in the Central Valley.
