Conquista Park is a unique historical theme park located on Highway La Romana-Bayahibe km 13, in the Bayahibe area of La Romana Province, Dominican Republic, dedicated to the story of the first encounter between the indigenous Taino people and Spanish conquistadors in the 15th century. The park is the largest historical re-enactment installation in the Americas, featuring 247 life-size figures across 27 outdoor scenes set in natural surroundings that vividly recreate a Taino village and the dramatic events of Columbus's arrival. Audio guides available in multiple languages lead visitors through the immersive narrative, while a free art museum, cigar factory, and mini-market complement the educational experience. Open Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings, the park welcomes adults, families, and school groups seeking a captivating blend of history, culture, and outdoor exploration in a beautifully landscaped Caribbean setting.
