Chusei Yumegahara

Chusei Yumegahara is a historical theme park in Ibara, Okayama Prefecture, faithfully recreating a medieval Japanese village amid lush greenery based on archaeological evidence and illustrated scrolls from the period. The meticulously designed grounds include recreations of a traditional market, craftsmen's houses, and a warrior's estate, immersing visitors in the daily life and culture of medieval Japan. Guests can participate in hands-on activities such as traditional country-style soup making and enjoy performances of Bicchu Kagura, a form of traditional Shinto ritual dance and music specific to the Okayama region, with reservations required for some programs. The park also hosts seasonal concerts and cultural events throughout the year. Open from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Chusei Yumegahara is a unique educational and cultural destination in the Chugoku region of western Japan.
