Chief Gene Shepherd Park Splash Pad is Shelby Township's newest recreational park, located at 2452 23 Mile Road in Macomb County, Michigan. The modern splash pad features colorful spray jets, dumping buckets, ground sprayers, and water features designed for a range of ages, with safer zones for toddlers and more dynamic water play for older children. The park also connects to the Macomb Orchard Trail and offers a full playground, sand volleyball, horseshoe and bocce ball areas, picnic tables, restrooms, and changing areas. A daily splash pad pass is available for a nominal fee for children, while adult chaperones enter free. The splash pad operates weather permitting from Memorial Day through Labor Day, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Chief Gene Shepherd Park is a welcoming community green space and a popular summer destination for families throughout Shelby Township and the greater Macomb County area.
