Baumkronenpfad Hoherodskopf

Baumkronenpfad Hoherodskopf is a remarkable treetop walk located on the Hoherodskopf mountain in Schotten, in the Vogelsberg region of Hesse, Germany. Opened in 2012, it is recognized as Europe's first floating treetop path, with approximately 500 meters of walkway suspended up to 15 meters above the ground, connected entirely via suspension bridges anchored to the trees. A 50-meter-long suspension bridge and several observation platforms offer sweeping panoramic views across the rolling Vogelsberg hills toward Frankfurt. Sensory experience stations, geological paths, and adventure net bridges make the walk educational and thrilling for visitors of all ages. The nearly level path is accessible to children from age three and to visitors with limited mobility, and the venue hosts guided full moon walks and team-building events.
