Amusement Park Sommerrodelbahn Ibbenbüren is a historic and enchanting leisure attraction in Ibbenbüren, North Rhine-Westphalia, located within the Teutoburg Forest. The park is home to Germany's oldest existing summer toboggan run, which was first conceived in 1926 by a local miner who envisioned snow-free sledding on the region's wooded slopes. Today the 12.5-acre park delights visitors with its storied summer toboggan, a charming fairy-tale forest depicting eleven Brothers Grimm stories among castles, fortresses, and caves, a journey-around-the-world attraction, bumper cars, a small train ride, and approximately 2,500 square metres of adventure playgrounds. Entry to the park grounds is free, with individual ride charges applying. This combination of natural woodland setting, nostalgic charm, and classic family attractions makes Sommerrodelbahn a beloved destination for generations of families in the Münsterland region.
