Adventureland Resort

Adventureland Resort is Iowa's iconic home of thrills, situated in Altoona just northeast of Des Moines. The expansive resort features more than 100 rides, shows, and attractions spanning classic wooden coasters like Tornado and Outlaw, the steel infinity coaster The Monster with its beyond-vertical drop and five inversions, and family-friendly rides including Flying Viking and the flume ride Draken Falls. The 200-foot Space Shot launch tower and human washing machine Splash Over add to the adrenaline lineup. Adventure Bay Waterpark — included with park admission — delivers wave pools, a lazy river, twisting waterslides, splash areas, and the newly added multi-story Hyperlight slide.
