2nd World War Memorial Aquatic Centre (South Side Pool)

The 2nd World War Memorial Aquatic Centre (South Side Pool) is a modern community aquatic facility located at 2 Graeme Acton Way in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia. The centre features a 50-metre heated Olympic-standard pool equipped with a moveable bulkhead and electronic timing system, a 25-metre heated pool, a heated learn-to-swim pool, a diving pool with 5-metre and 10-metre platforms, a children's wet play area, and a 650-seat covered grandstand. A cafe on site and ample car parking add convenience for visitors. The centre recently opened a state-of-the-art Changing Places facility with ceiling hoists for guests with special needs. Originally opened in the 1960s, the venue has undergone extensive modernisation to meet FINA standards and serves swimmers, divers, families, and fitness enthusiasts from across the Rockhampton region with affordable, accessible aquatic recreation and competitive swimming programs.
