Bohemian Prater, known locally as Böhmischer Prater, is a charming historic amusement park located in Favoriten, Vienna's 10th district, nestled at the edge of the Laaer Wald forest. Dating back to the late 19th century, the park takes its name from the Bohemian and Moravian brick workers who settled the area, and several of its rides are over 100 years old. Visitors can enjoy a 125-year-old horse carousel, a classic caterpillar track, a flight carousel, and a 21.5-metre Ferris wheel with 14 passenger cars offering views across the district. Unlike the famous Wurstelprater, the Bohemian Prater charges no general admission — guests pay only for individual rides — creating a relaxed, community atmosphere. Its old-world character, historical rides, and family-friendly setting make it a tranquil alternative to Vienna's larger amusement venues.
