Campanopolis is a one-of-a-kind medieval village and thematic cultural park set on 200 hectares of lush grounds in Gonzalez Catan, La Matanza, roughly an hour from downtown Buenos Aires, Argentina. Founded by Antonio Campana starting in 1976, the entire village was crafted from recycled and salvaged materials, resulting in an enchanting landscape of European medieval-style houses, fountains, lakes, bridges, passages, a town hall, a chapel, a windmill, and even a locomotive. Visitors can explore 12 forest-style homes and venture into the more surreal Villanueva section, with expert guides sharing the stories behind the construction, ecological philosophy, and historical inspiration. The expansive grounds, home to 10,000 trees, offer a picturesque natural escape alongside the architectural wonders. Campanopolis has also served as a filming location and event venue, making it a truly unique destination for history enthusiasts, families, and creative travelers.
