Broadwater Parklands is a free, expansive waterfront park stretching over three kilometres along the Broadwater in Southport on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The parklands feature walking and cycling paths, a 100-metre fishing pier, barbecue and picnic pavilions, public art installations, and a netted swimming enclosure with a jumping pontoon. The Washington Waters Park area includes swings, a flying fox, a Liberty swing, mono rail pedal bikes, a giant lizard sculpture, a jumping pillow, and a bike education track. In warmer months, The Rockpools water feature park delights children with shallow wading pools, spouting water animals, cascading waterfalls, and timed creek beds. Stand-up paddleboarding is permitted on the Broadwater, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout. The parklands are fully accessible with paved pathways and regularly host large-scale events including music festivals, sporting competitions, and carnivals.
