Okayama Forest Park, also known as Doitsu no Mori (German Forest), is a delightful German-themed recreation park located in Akaiwa-shi, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Inspired by a traditional German rural village, the park's European-style buildings are set amid seasonal blooms of rape blossoms, tulips, nemophila, sunflowers, and cosmos that transform the grounds throughout the year. Visitors enjoy a wide range of activities including go-kart racing, pedal boating, lawn slides, and a 10-meter-high swing, as well as animal encounters with alpacas, goats, ponies, miniature pigs, and rabbits in a petting farm area that also features cow-milking experiences. Authentic German cuisine such as homemade sausages, stone oven bread, and local beer is served on site, and one of the largest dog runs in western Japan spans approximately 5,000 square meters, making it a paradise for dog owners as well.
